The second round of TI6 European Open Qualifiers is scheduled to get underway today, June 23rd, at 18:00 CEST. The tournament has already been full for days, with 1024 teams registered to participate. Some notable teams – such as Kaipi, KBU, Team Toast, and Elements Pro Gaming – have failed to register in advance and will have to be quick on the draw to obtain last minute slots.
UPDATE (18:00 CEST):
Kaipi, Team Toast and Elements Pro Gaming have managed to clinch last-minute slots in the second round of the European Open Qualifiers, in the 30-minute check-in window before the tournament’s kick-off. KBU (Wagamama, NS, Dread stack) have not registered for the second round.
Over 1000 European teams and mixes are eager to get in on the Open Qualifiers action and have promptly signed up to compete in the best-of-one brackets. All 1024 available spots for the European region have been filled for days, and many teams and solo players are still waiting for slots to open up.
Not all of the teams that competed in the first round of the European Open Qualifiers registered for the second round in advance, and the available slots filled up. Kaipi, KBU (Wagamama, NS, Dread stack), Team Toast, and Elements Pro Gaming are among the teams that failed to register in advance and are currently waiting on the sidelines, merely hours before kick off.
The teams will have another chance to register 30 minutes before the tournament, in case some of the 1024 already registered teams fail to check-in on time. For the first round of European Open Qualifiers, 200 slots opened up in the last 30 minutes. All of them were occupied in approximately two minutes.

(969 comments)Well that’s life of a professional player. First thing you are playing in TI4, next thing you know you are playing for an OQ in TI6
