Both Pavel “9pashaebashu” Khvastunov and Andrey “Afoninje” Afonin have parted ways with Polarity – the CIS team formed during the Manila Major/TI6 roster lock period.
Replacing the two Russian players are Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko and Airat “Silent” Gaziev.
Iceberg had formed CIS rejects in September, following the TI5 shuffle along with Ivan “VANSKOR” Skorokhod and Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko. They were picked up in December by Team Spirit.
Silent had been moved from Virtus.Pro’s active roster to an inactive status after falling ill since returning from Shanghai in order to attend to his health.

In a string of various announcements regarding Virtus.Pro in March, it was revealed that the organization was forming a second squad. The lineup contained both recently departed Virtus.Pro members Alexander “DkPhobos” Kucheria and Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk. The Ukrainian players were released from the main squad.
DkPhobos and Lil were joined by carry player Paul “9pashaebashu” Khvastunov who was replaced by Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi on Vega Squadron just days before.
Andrew “Afoninje” Afonin was added to the lineup as the mid player. He was most recently part of HellRaisers.
Rounding out the roster was the second support player, Eugene “Jenya” Kuznetsov – an up and coming pub player that is well known within the community. He had stood in for Virtus.Pro in the past as well during HyperX D2L Season 5 against Evil Geniuses.
Since then, the team denied any connection to Virtus.Pro but continued to be managed by Olga Dunaeva, Virtus.Pro employee and PR manager.
The team has taken higher placed positions in various qualifiers such as Nanyang Dota 2 Championships Season 2: European Qualifier, The Summit 5 – European Qualifiers, SL i-League StarSeries Season 2 European Qualifier, The Manila Major 2016 Europe Qualifier and ESL One Frankfurt 2016 European Qualifier.
They took 2nd place in BTS Europe #3, one of the few tournaments they participated in.
Jenya/Женя had quietly left the team in mid May and was replaced by Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko who had parted ways with Team Spirit.
