20:50 CET: Frankfurt Major results,Group D: Decider Match EHOME vs Mineski (Winner advances to the Upper Bracket)
In the first game Mineski seemed to be in control for much of the game. With incredible Phantom Lancer and Ember Spirit, Mineski were able to dominate the push and the damage, easily gaining kills, net-worth and damage to claim a convincing victory.
In the second game, Mineski outdrafted EHOME. EHOME also seemed to make some mistakes in their drafting choices as they chose Viper after Mineski took the Sladar, which typically Slardar is a counter for. Mineski showed they were able to adapt and adjust to their opponents and continue to draft well. EHOME did start the game doing well with a slight advantage, but around 18 minutes in, Mineski was able to take the control with a flawless Sladar and an exceptional Templar Assassin. Once Mineski started to advance, there was little that EHOME was able to do to counter them. Mineski easily took the second game and series victory.

20:35 CET: Frankfurt Major results,Group C: Elimination Match: Newbee.Young vs Cloud 9 (Loser is seeded into the Lower Bracket)
Both teams had a pretty good line up but Razer was a good pick for Newbee.Young as Cloud 9 didn’t have the heroes kite him. Although they were getting kills and leading in net-worth, it wasn’t until Leshrac got his hex and Shadow Fiend got his abyssal that they could shut down the Templar Assassin and the Ember Spirit to end the game. Once they had their disables the game was easy for the Chinese team to claim the victory.
GG! @Cloud9gg can't stop Newbee Young! Game two is up now. #FrankfurtMajor https://t.co/KzRMkaEzwA

In the second game Cloud 9 played patiently and with a solid performance and lineup. Newbee.Young had a bit less clean game for them, giving away kills they shouldn’t have and then started to fall apart. The Doom was not a hero that Newbee.Young seemed to do well with and didn’t benefit their game at all. The win for Cloud 9 pushed a deciding third game.
34 minutes in, base race had interesting and questionable choices on both sides to keep things even. The Anti Mage had no kills at 35 minutes into the game and really high farm. Beast Master was able to crush objectives quickly and Cloud 9 had great map control and taking objectives consistently. The Anti-Mage was doing a great job pushing but wasn’t enough to do it solo. Cloud 9 took the deciding game in 39 minutes in a convincing manner.
- Frankfurt Major results: Cloud 9 bested Newbee.Young, 2:1, and advanced to the Decider Match. Newbee.Young will compete drop to the lower brackets.(*No teams will be actually eliminated during the group stages; scroll down for the groups stages format.)
