14:30 CET: Frankfurt Major main event standings, Upper Brackets: Evil Geniuses 2:1 Vega
In the first game, Vega started out very aggressive and as the game progressed, EG had trouble finding a way to engage into the CIS team.
But a few terrible team fights for Vega around starting about 33 minutes into the game resulted in EG starting to close the gap between them. Vega was out maneuvered and made a few misplays, while Artour “Arteezy” Babaev became too strong for them to do deal with.
After about an hour, EG took another favorable fight at Roshan and Vega called “GG”.

The second game featured an Nnvoker for Syed Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan . Vega had no way to disable invoker and their Doom was having trouble engaging in the fights, causing Vega to come out behind in the team fights often. The CIS team continued to fight and find openings to take fights on their terms and play in their normal aggressive style, pushing forward to a win and forcing a deciding game three.

The third game was back and forth until the mid game, but then Vega was not able to put on as much pressure that they needed and the game started slip away. Although EG kept losing map control, it didn’t matter as much as Arteezy’s Anti Mage was starting to become out of control and they were putting pressure on multiple lanes. Vega called “GG” around minute 39 after a four man wipe at Roshan. Evil Geniuses are the first team to advance further in the Upper Brackets.
