The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 Open Qualifiers start for Europe, America and SEA. All three regional open qualifiers will start on October 11th as teams compete for a chance to compete in the LAN Finals at Dreamhack Moscow in December 5th-6th.
The long awaited Open Qualifiers for The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 have finally been announced for three of the regions; Europe, America and Southeast Asia. CISR qualifiers have already taken place and the Studio LAN playoffs are approaching quickly. The open qualifiers will allow teams from these three regions to register to become one of 16 teams per region to advance to the first of two group stages, followed by regional qualifiers.
The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 Open Qualifiers
- The open qualifiers stage for Europe, America and SEA will take place from November 11th until November 16th on the FaceIT platform.
- The format of all games will be Best-of-one.
- 16 teams from qualifiers will pass to the first groupstage of the tournament. After the open qualifiers, two group stages will take place followed by regional qualifiers. The best regional teams will then proceed to the Studio LAN playoffs.

In early September it was announced that The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 would be taking place, featuring five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA. Slots would be distributed over five regions – North America, Europe, CIS, China, and SEA.
In Early October the CIS regional LAN event portion took place at Igromir Expo Center.
The playoff stage of the CIS regional qualifiers portion of the Game Show Global eSports Cup kicked with weven teams, including Arcade.Power Rangers, HellRaisers and CIS Rejects are competing at the Igromir Exhibition Center in Moscow for the $20,000 prize pool and two spots for the Studio LAN finals. CIS Rejects and ScaryFaceZzz took the first and second place spots.
Game Show Global eSports Cup format
The Game Show Global eSports Cup is being played out in six distinct stages. Open Qualifiers, two Group stages and Regional Qualifiers will be held in five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA. The last two phases of the event will feature LAN playoffs in the Studio and the Grand Finals to be held at the DreamHack LAN event in Moscow, Russia.

The event series will feature online open qualifiers for five regions, Europe, CIS, North America, China and SEA. After the open qualifiers, two group stages will take place followed by regional qualifiers. The best regional teams will then proceed to the Studio LAN playoffs.
To date, only the CIS region has completed the online qualifiers and group stages.
Game Show Global eSports Cup Studio LAN finals
Eight of the best teams from the various regions will compete in the fifth phase of the event series. The Studio Stage of the LAN Finals will take place from November 30 – December 3 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only four teams will reach the grand final of the tournament.

The four top teams from the Studio LAN finals will participate in the Grand Finals, which will run within DreamHack Moscow. The event is scheduled to take place December 5-6.
