The second day of the Frankfurt Dota Major European qualifiers has come to an end. (monkey)Business and NiP have advanced into the Upper Bracket finals and they are both one series away from clinching the first spot. Alliance provided some of their most spectacular plays in their recent time when they eliminated Team Liquid. Alliance have moved forward into the Lower Brackets. The action will resume tomorrow, on October 13th, at 18:00 CEST.

Ninjas in Pyjamas swept through their Swedish brethren, 2:0, and will face (monkey)Business in the Upper Bracket finals.
Alliance managed to knock Team Liquid out of contention, 2:1, after an extraordinary deciding game, reminiscent of their TI3 performance. They moved forward into the Lower Bracket finals.
The Upper Bracket finals will kick off tomorrow, October 13th, at 18:00 CEST, followed by the Lower Bracket finals.

Playoffs matches are best-of-three series. Top two teams – winners of both the Upper Bracket and Lower Bracket finals – will qualify for the $3,000,000 Frankfurt Dota Major, scheduled to take place between November 16-21, in Frankfurt, Germany.

Team Liquid 0:2 (monkey) Business –: The first game of the serious was quite surprising, as Johan “BigDaddy” Sundstein’s flawless Meepo and Amer “Miracle-“ al-Barqawi’s incredible Ember Spirit destroyed Team Liquid in only 22 minutes. The second game featured some great plays by BigDaddy and Miracle- yet again, as well as MB’s polished team coordination and synergy. (monkey)Business looked impressive as they swept through Team Liquid, 2:0.

Alliance 0:2 NiP – In the first game of the series, NiP had a slight lead in the beginning, but the game was still relatively even until after the laning phase, when Alliance started to push ahead. NiP had a better lineup for the late game and they managed to take the first win.
In the second game, NiP drew the first blood and both teams traded kills early on. By 15 minutes into the game, NiP had started to pull ahead, as their Alchemist grabbed a 14-minute radiance. Both teams were breaking high ground at minute 19, but it would take NiP 46 minutes to claim the victory. A fantastic game for both Adrian “Era” Kryeziu on Alchemist and Linus “Limmp” Blomdin on Shadow Fiend.

Team Liquid 1:2 Alliance – In the first game of the series, Team Liquid had a hard time dealing with Alliance’s Naga pick. After a bad fight for Team Liquid on the mid lane, their fate was sealed and Alliance cruised towards victory.
The second game was a stark contrast to the first one and Team Liquid tied up the series. Adrian “FATA-“ Trinks had a very easy game on Razor against Alliance’s uncommon Tide Hunter. Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Borislavov had a perfect game on Undying and Team Liquid took the win in 31 minutes.
The last, deciding game lasted for 70 spectacular minutes. Alliance emerged as victors, despite a few various times when it looked like it could have been Liquid’s game. Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg’s constant push and pressure prevailed in the end. Alliance managed to split push, outfight and outlast Team Liquid, eliminating one of the qualifiers’ favorites.

The Upper Bracket finals between (monkey) Business and Ninjas in Pyjamas are scheduled for tomorrow, October 13, at 18:00 CEST. The losing team will face Alliance in the Lower Bracket finals.
