Major League Gaming have renewed their partnership with ESPN for the X games, this time bringing Dota 2 along with them.
Top teams will be invited to compete for the X games medals during the three-day finals in Austin, Texas, from June 4-7, 2015. This is the first time Dota 2 has been invited to the festival.

MLG and Dota 2 History
Major League Gaming hosted their first Dota 2 event in 2013, at the MLG Championship. The event was held in Columbus, Ohio, where Speed Gaming (later becoming Cloud 9) won the first place prize of $68,000.
The following year, MLG returned to Dota 2 competitions with the MLG T.K.O tournament, featuring two separate tournaments for the NA and EU region. Fnatic claimed the first place prize of $14,000 for EU, while Evil Geniuses claimed the title and prize for the NA region.
In 2015, MLG partnered with JoinDota for the MLG ProLeague: three regional leagues playing to compete for the six LAN finals spots and a first place prize of $30,000. The finals will be held in Columbus Ohio, April 10-12.

The event adds to the already jam packed Dota 2 tournament schedule in the upcoming months leading to The International 5.

Tickets for X Games are available for purchase at Ticketmaster. Fans will be able to watch the games on MLG.tv or through various MLG apps on smartphones and Xbox consoles. The event will also feature Call of Duty:Advanced Warfare.
