After a devastating string of losses, placing at the bottom of the ranks in almost all tournaments, Chinese team TongFu revamp their roster, replacing KingJ, zExBinGo and XinQ with qian, Kabu and Red.
TongFu finished 13-16th place at the Dota 2 Asian Championship, in early March. Shortly after, on March 12, a roster change brought in veterans Yang “KingJ” Zhou and Cong “zExBinGo” Zeng. However, the team continued to experience loss after loss, over the course of the month.
Taking a page from the CIS and Na’Vi’s reshuffles, the team then moved to replace both of the recent additions KingJ and zExBinGo with Kai “Kabu” Zhao, TongFu’s coach and Wen Yao “Qian” Li. Qian was one of the players who was removed on March 12. TongFu has also changed out their solo mid player Zi Xing “XinQ” Zhao for Youjia “SryFox-Red” Sun.
TongFu tried out their new roster last night against LGD, in the Upper Brackets for the VPGame Pro League, but suffered a 2-0 loss and dropped into the Lower Brackets. They will be facing Vici Gaming Potential in the Lower Brackets of VPGame Pro League later today.
