German Dota League boasts €10,000 prize pool

The newly created German Dota League, presented by Swiss DC will kick off tomorrow, February 3rd. The prize pool is set at a whopping €10,000 with additional rewards for each winning match during the league play. The season will span for 11 weeks and feature 12 of the best teams from Germany competing. All matches will be broadcast live starting February 3rd at 20:00 CET.

In July Swiss DC had announced they would be adding both a German and CIS League to their repertoire after this summer.

It seems that the time has finally come for the German Dota League get underway!

Starting tomorrow, February 3rd, 12 teams will compete over the course of 11 weeks for more than €10,000. Originally expected to be approximately $30,000 – the final prize pool is a hefty reward for league play!

All matches will be played out over the weekends and on April 16th, the top three teams will get their share of the €10,000. Just as exciting is that each team will also receive €30 for each winning game!

All matches will be broadcast live in English and in German – starting February 3rd at 20:00 CET.

In March, the Swiss Dota Community announced two leagues with a combined prize pool of more than 15,000 CHF (approximately $15,175) for two seasons. As part of the continued effort to promote and enhance the local esports scene, one match from either league was broadcast weekly on the Swiss national television station “Joiz”.

With the success of their current leagues, the Swiss Predator League, SAE Institute league, new studio and the Mountain Trail Challenge 2015 last April, the organization continues to seek out ways to bring about a stronger community and more exposure to the growing esports scene.
