Ditya Ra officially joins Vega Squadron lineup

Vega Squadron lineup now includes Dmitry “Ditya Ra” Minenkov as the fifth and final player for the Kiev Major season. The Russian carry player has taken up the spot left open by the departure of Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi at the end of December. Ditya Ra has already been part of the team as a stand in and helped secure their championship title for Royal Arena 2.

Vega Squadron lineup has now been finalized to include Dmitry “Ditya Ra” Minenkov in the carry role to replace Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi.

fn had left the team late last month due to mutual agreement between both parties.

Since his departure Ditya Ra had been standing in with the team – most noticeably playing as part of the squad for Royal Arena #2 in which they secured the championship title after crushing Rebels 3:0 in the grand finals.

I would like to greet Dmity in Vega Squadron and I hope that he will help us to reach a higher level He prove himself during try out as a team player that we lacked with previous carry player. With Ditya Ra atmosphere in the team became more calm and comfortable for every player. In this roster Vega Squadron is going to prepare for different LAN-tournament qualifiers and will pull out all the stops to qualify for the first ever Major tournament in CIS.

Ditya Ra started his professional career in 2014 playing for Power Rangers – a team he stayed with for a full year initially. After parting ways with the organization he briefly played on No Logic Gaming before being recruited to Na’Vi. He stayed with the Ukrainian organization from December 2015 until November 2016.

At the end of August, Vega completed their lineup with Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko in the midlane role. Earlier in August, it was revealed that Fng would be joining the organization following the complete dissolution of Virtus.Pro.

The new additions and changes were unable to achieve desired results and both new additions had taken leave in November.

Vega Squadron took 6th in the group stage of Boston Major Qualifiers with a 4:5 record and 6th place in DreamLeague with a 6:8 record, thus failing to advance in both. They also took a disappointing 9th-12th finish in the ESL One Genting 2017 qualifiers, being knocked out in Round 12 by Fantastic Five.

Earlier this month the squad took 5-10th place at WCA, failing to advance past the group stage.
