Team Onyx will be looking to make their mark on the Americas region for the upcoming Kiev Major season. Led by Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho, the team will also feature Kanishka ‘Sam’ “BuLba” Sosale, Kim “DuBu” Doo-young, Mason “mason” Venne and one more player yet to be announced.
DeMoN stepped down from Fnatic at the end of November after a train wreck season. While being featured on Valve’s documentary series, True Sight, the Malaysian based team struggled to find their way to the Boston Major or any other notable achievements for the season.
As part of his support duo, the American will be joined by Kim “DuBu” Doo-young from Korea. DuBu has taken his leave from MVP.Phoenix, the fourth player to head Westward bound in search of a more promising career and achievements.
Kanishka ‘Sam’ “BuLba” Sosale will assume the offlane position on the team after being phased out of Team Liquid after the squad was unable to qualify for the Boston Major.
Stepping back into the spotlight is Mason “mason” Venne. The North American player has had several short stints on various teams following his big debut playing for Evil Geniuses as the replacement/substitute for Clinton “Fear” Loomis while he was out with injury.
The team has less than five days to complete their lineup and officially register for the Kiev Major. The lineup is still in need of a mid-lane player.
