Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop posted on his Facebook that he has officially parted ways with Execration to take a break.
This is to officially announce that I have left team Execration. I made this difficult decision in order to take a short break and later pursue my career in a different working environment.
To boss Arvin Risos, my manager and my teammates, Kimo, DJ, Gabbi, Owa and the rest of Execration family, thank you very much for everything you have done for me. My time with you has been worthwhile and rewarding in every sense. I wish you all the best.
Execration has not commented on Abed’s departure or provided any information on a replacement or further changes. The Filipino team will be competing at ESL One Genting 2017 January 6-8th.
Teams have until January 9th to add new players before rosters are locked for the Kiev Major season.
The breakout 15 year old had the distinct honor to be the youngest person to compete at a Valve event during TI6. His meepo has been a standout hero, along with his phenomenal overall skills demonstrated through the year.
Execration
Execration’s victory in the SEA Regional Qualifiers secured them at least a trip to Seattle for the TI6 Wild Card series – becoming part of Filipino and TI history as one of two teams from the Philippines to attend The International.
In the post TI6 shuffle Djardel “DJ” Mampusti left Fnatic only hours after the first phase of the new Fall Major team registration began.
Within the same 24 hours it was surprising for many to see Fernando “Nando” Mendoza and Ralph Richard “RR” Peñano were let go from Execration.
The team recruited DJ and Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte Santos from Acion Arena – and seems to be shaping up to be a new threat in the region.
Adam Erwann “343” Shah then joined the Filipino team for the Boston Major, moving Rafael “Rapy” Sicat Palo into the substitute role
For the fall season they had taken first place at MPGL and ASUS ROG SEA CUP but were unable to attend Boston Major despite their invitation due to delayed visa issues.
