Vega lineup changes; fn parts ways with the organization

Vega lineup has once again undergone more changes post TI6. Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi has parted ways with the team, only one month after both Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasylenko and Artyom “Fng” Barshak. No replacement has been announced and fn’s plans for the future have remained undisclosed at this time.

The Vega lineup has undergone some more changes. The organization has announced that Rostislav “fn” Lozovoi has officially parted ways with the squad.

The separation appears to have been of mutual consent, heavily related to team cohesion and dynamics.

Fn is a very strong player, but he mostly works for his own farm instead of playing with the team and might sometimes make decisions that are not really going together with what his team decided to do. However, he still tried his best to become a team players, but this wasn’t going quick. For more than a month of hard work we almost made no progress at all, and it wasn’t just about bad results on WCA but mostly about much precious time being lost when we were trying to fix communication and team play instead of working on new strategies and other important aspects.
We were discussing this problem and Rostislav himself proposed that it might be the time for him leave and let the team improve faster. We were thinking about it for a couple days and decided that this is, unfortunately, the most optimal choice right now. Roster lock is soon and Major qualifiers are on their way as well, so we need to make a stable team that can play 5 men Dota.

The carry player had joined the team in March and established himself as a reputable and formidable carry player. Recently fn has been seen playing with Team Empire, although no official announcements have been made about his plans nor those of a finalized Team Empire roster.

Players are able to leave their current teams until December 27th and have until January 9th to lock into a new roster for the Spring/Kiev Major.

One month ago Vega had finalized their roster, welcoming Sergey “G” Bragin to the team to replace Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasylenko. The week prior, Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev was announced as the replacement for Artyom “Fng” Barshak.

At the end of August, Vega completed their lineup with Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko in the midlane role. Earlier in August, it was revealed that Fng would be joining the organization following the complete dissolution of Virtus.Pro.

The new additions and changes were unable to achieve desired results and both new additions had taken leave in November.

Vega Squadron took 6th in the group stage of Boston Major Qualifiers with a 4:5 record and 6th place in DreamLeague with a 6:8 record, thus failing to advance in both. They also took a disappointing 9th-12th finish in the ESL One Genting 2017 qualifiers, being knocked out in Round 12 by Fantastic Five.

Earlier this month the squad took 5-10th place at WCA, failing to advance past the group stage.
