It has been rumored through Daryl “iceiceice” Koh’s official Tencent.Weibo page that ViCi Gaming has already received their TI5 invite from Valve.
Update
iceiceice’s weibo post appears to have been highly misinterpreted. The team has cleared all rumors and specified that the player was actually referring to a gaming chair. For all of our sakes, iceiceice, known for his “master troll” reputation, should tread lightly with his ambiguous social media posts, at least until the direct invites are announced.
“Received” is the only word written in the status. At this crucial time, the ambiguity leads to high speculation that iceiceice is actually referring to the TI5 invite from Valve. iceiceice does have a history of “trolling” and not always being very serious.
Although it’s no surprise to many that ViCi Gaming would have received the TI5 invite based on overall performances and achievements through the year, the reveal of the invite is still in question, as there has been no official announcement from either Valve or ViCi Gaming.
