F.R.I.E.N.D.S roster, formed in July 2015 of members of ex-Virtus.Pro, will continue with the addition of Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin and Dmitry “UnderShock” Bolshakov. Afterlife most recently was part of Team Empire until early September. He was playing with UndersShock who was standing in for the team, but didn’t make the cut for the official roster.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S Alexander “NoFear” Churochkin, Maxim “yoky-” Kim and Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko are back again this season, with two new additions – Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin and Dmitry “UnderShock” Bolshakov.
Earlier in September, AfterLife parted ways with Team Empire after six months with the team. Undershock joined his comrade, on the Russian empire as a stand-in starting weeks prior, but left at the same time as AfterLife.
Ten days later, the new Team Empire roster was announced to include both Sergey Alexandrovich “G” Bragin and Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin of the original F.R.I.E.N.D.S roster.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S roster was formed in July 2015 when Virtus.Pro was completely dissolved.
Virtus.Pro struggled throughout the 2015-2016 year, ending with a lamentable track record, failing to qualify for the Manila Major. They admitted to cheating in The Summit 5 European qualifiers Grand Finals and were disqualified. Their most recent “non-success”: they failed to qualify for The International 6, after placing 6th in the Round Robin stage.
Then, at the end of June, the Virtus.Pro organization decided to bid farewell to the team’s manager, George “drAmer” Faleev, VP’s Sporting Director Sergey “Diver233” Pisotsky and the entire Dota 2 squad.
Alexander “NoFear” Churochkin, Maxim “yoky-” Kim, Sergey Alexandrovich “G” Bragin and Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobkin joined forced with Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko of Polarity at that time in order to keep their qualified spot and participate in the StarLadder iLeague Season 2 LAN held in Los Angeles. The team eventually took fourth place at the tournament.
