The WESG Europe Qualifiers kick off this weekend with the Adriatic and South-East Europe regions. The Adriatic region features teams from Serbia, Slovenia and Macedonia, while South-East Europe will be represented by teams from Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, and Israel. One team from each region will advance to the offline regional qualifiers in Kiev, Ukraine, in October.
A mix put together by Comewithme, Ar1se and bOne7, the entire squads of Elements Pro Gaming and Broodmothers have joined the competition with hopes to continue through the regional qualifiers and onto the main event in Shanghai, China, in December.
The WESG Europe and CIS qualifiers have begun this weekend with two regions – Adriatic and South-East Europe.
A total of 35 teams are in the running for the one spot per region available in the offline regional qualifiers in Kiev, next month.
Back in March, Alisports announced a new tournament – WESG (World Electronic Sports Games). The event was reported to feature various disciplines, including Dota 2 and CS:GO, with $1.5 million prize pools each – boasting a $5.5 million total prize fund across all the gaming divisions featured. The LAN Finals are set to take place in Shanghai, China, in December.

The Adriatic Qualifiers take place between September 3rd-6th, featuring teams from Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia.
Most notably, Elements Pro Gaming are participating, as well as Jure “Pingvincek” Plešej from ProDota Gaming to represent Slovenia (theOP), and Stefan “pwN” Pavlovic from TBE, Konstantin “kole” Jancetovic and Viktor “Buktop” Knezevic – both former mYi players – who will play for Serbia as LVLUP.

The South-East Europe Qualifiers will take place between September 4th-7th, including teams from Romania, Greece, Bulgaria and Israel.
Most notable teams include RO (Team Romania), featuring Alexandru “ComeWithMe” Crăciunescu, Armand “bOne7” Pittner, Ionuț “Ar1sE” Turtoi, Cosmin “Masakary” Nechifor, and Răzvan “iLLusionisT” Borceanu. The all-Greek squad Broodmothers will be participating, as well as Team Israel, led by Neta “TheCoon” Shapira.
