Southeast Asia has a new team for fans to follow. Team Faceless will be competing for the region in the upcoming Fall Major, featuring Daryl “iceiceice” Koh, Dominik “Black” Reitmeier, Wong “NutZ” Jeng Yih, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and Toh “Xy-” Wai Hong.
The squad will be making their debut at the upcoming ROG Masters tournament boasting a $150,000 prize pool. The main event will take place in the City Center of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on the 12th and 13th of November but qualifiers are expected to get underway later this month – September 19th-25th.
Team Faceless roster
iceiceice last played for EHOME – when he switched from ViCi Gaming for the Manila Major/TI6 roster season. EHOME took 5-6th at TI6 after getting to the event through the Wild Card qualifiers.
His first steps in the Dota 2 competitive scene were when he attended The International 2011 with Scythe Gaming, taking third place after losing to EHOME in the lower brackets.
He later joined Zenith and took sixth place at TI3. He won the 1 vs 1 solo championship, defeating Chai Yee Fung “Mushi” to earn the “best solo mid in Dota 2” title. Zenith disbanded shortly after the conclusion of TI3 and iceiceice went to Team DK to complete their roster. It was with Team DK that he would come in fourth at The International 4. He found a new home with ViCi Gaming, after DK disbanded and took 4th place at TI5 with the team.
Black^ last played for the Turkish team HWA Gaming and has been without a stable team since early December, when he parted ways with Fnatic.
The German player joined mousesports in 2012, attending TI2 with the organization and taking 13-16th place. The roster was dropped but Black was picked up again by the organization about one month later. Once again with mousesports he took a 13-16th place at TI3.
It was after TI3 that Black^ made the first of many cross region moves and headed to China to play for LGD.International. After the team disbanded later that year, he was picked up by Chinese team CIS and then ViCi Gaming and played alongside iceiceice.
After his time in China, Black^ headed to North America and played with Team Tinker, which was later picked up again by Mousesports just in time for the TI5 qualifiers. The team did not advance to the event and in the post TI5 shuffle, he made the move across the Atlantic Ocean to Southeast Asia to compete with Fnatic in Malaysia.
NutZ was MVP Phoenix’s coach at TI6, but played for the organization from August 2014 up until TI5. The team seized a commendable 7-8th place after winning the Wild Card Qualifier.
He started out his professional career in the spring of 2013, playing for Flash eSports. He stayed there for four months before joining MVP.Hot6ix, in August of 2014. He was transferred to MVP.Phoenix in March 2015 and was the last member to join the TI5 lineup and complete the roster.
Jabz is a Thai player that has started his professional career playing for Signature.Trust in January 2015. The team is the only one he has competed with and has participated in the minor regional events as well as qualifiers. Fans of the region have him identified as a new rising star for mid-lane.
Xy- hails from Singapore but has not played competitively for a team since Zenith disbanded in 2013. Despite his absence from the scene in recent years, he has attended three Internationals – Taking third at TI1 with Scythe Gaming alongside iceiceice and Zenith for TI2 and TI3 – again both times together with iceiceice.
