Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup features Rs 500,000 prize pool

Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup will return to India, featuring six qualifiers in six different cities. This year’s event promises to be the largest to date. A total of 500,000 Rs (approximately $7,500) will be distributed among the 12 participating teams.

The first set of qualifiers kicks off on July 29th, in Delhi. The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup Grand Finals will be held between September 16th-17th in Mumbai, India.

The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup 2016 is expected to be the largest and best event in the Indian region yet. With double the 2015 prize pool, 500,000 Rs (approximately $7,500) in cash will be distributed between the 12 finalists.

The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup qualifiers are scheduled to span the course of six weeks and take place in six different cities. The first set of qualifiers is set to begin on July 29th, in Delhi.

Compared to last year’s event, two more qualifiers sets have been added, giving four more teams a chance to hit it big.

The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup main event is set to take place between September 16th-17th in Mumbai, India, at the Infiniti Mall, Malad in front of a live audience.

The Taiwan Excellence Gaming Cup is a tournament hosted by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra) and has been going on since 2013.

Last year, the prize pool was 400,000 Rs and the tournament featured eight local contenders – double than in 2014.
