The Summit 5 LAN Day 4 has concluded after a crowd pleasing day. Four more teams fought to survive elimination – Digital Chaos, Na’Vi, Fnatic and Team Liquid. Digital Chaos, Fnatic and Na’Vi didn’t make the cut and were sent home early with much to think about going into SL iLeague in a few days. Team Liquid was the only one to prevail, after exerting their dominance over both DC and Na’Vi. The action resumes with one of the most heated storylines of rivalry and grit developed over the last year – Team Liquid vs. OG, in the lower bracket finals, on July 17th, at 19:00 CEST.

The Summit 5 LAN Day 4 has concluded leaving only one more day of thrilling match-ups, entertaining shenanigans and golden treasures from the guest couch castings.
Team Liquid dominated true to their nature. After a clean sweep through Digital Chaos in the lower brackets Round 2, they continued riding on their momentum and cleared another consecutive two-game knock out against Na’Vi. Their success in the elimination series has brought them to the final hurdle – the lower bracket finals against their nemesis – OG.
Na’Vi and Fnatic’s head to head clash lasted three full matches and was as intense as expected from two TI6-bound teams. Na’Vi’s recent surge in performances and results has continued to serve them well. They advanced into a commendable fourth place after suffering a quick two consecutive game loss at the hands of Team Liquid.
The action resumes with the very hyped newest and hottest rivalry between Team Liquid and OG. Only one will survive the elimination series and have the chance to challenge Wings in the Grand Finals.
Summit 5 LAN Day 4 recap
Digital Chaos vs. Team Liquid – Lower Bracket elimination Round 2
Team Liquid easily knocked out Digital Chaos, 2:0. Taking control in the first match early on, the European squad claimed their victory in just over 40 minutes. However, in the second series, Liquid absolutely shellacked the North American based mix and crushed them and Omar “w33” Aliwi’s infamous Meepo in just 17 minutes.
Fnatic vs. Na’Vi – Lower Bracket elimination Round 2
It took three matches to determine a winner in the series. Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s performance on Timbersaw and Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev’s signature Io secured the Ukrainian team the first game advantage. Fnatic refused to let them celebrate long, taking the second game and the Timbersaw pick from them with relative ease, forcing the deciding game. Fifty minutes would pass before a victory was secured in the third game. Na’Vi advanced one more round.
Na’Vi vs. Team Liquid – Lower Bracket elimination Round 3
Na’Vi moved right into the next series to face Team Liquid. Liquid were ready and wiped out the Ukrainian team in two 20 minutes games.

(64 comments)I think that Newbee, Wings, OG, Liquid, EG, MVP, LGD could all very well end up placing in Top 3. And, honestly, any of the other teams could shake it up and leave us open-mouthed, so…
