Funn1k joins Team Spirit; Team Empire down to two

Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov has parted ways with Team Empire after three months and has joined Team Spirit. His departure comes on the heels of Alexander “XBOCT” Dashkevich’s exit from the squad, leaving the once CIS giants down to two. Funn1k has already made his debut with Team Spirit last night in WePlay Season 3, where the team defeated Power Rangers.

Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov has parted ways with Team Empire, after approximately three months with the squad.

We thank Funn1k for the time he spent as a part of the Team of Empire . Gleb – a good player and a great person. We believe that in the future he will succeed! So, at the moment as part of Team Empire remains two players: Ilya « ALOHADANCE » Korobkin and Alexander « NoFear » Churochkin. The further fate of the remaining players will be decided after the end of the Dota Pit LAN Finals, as previously announced.

On March 9th Team Empire revealed their lineup for the upcoming Dota Pit season 4 LAN finals. Funn1k was not included in the list, while Maxim “yoky-” Kim and Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk had been added to the participating lineup. The organization had denied the rumors that Funn1k was no longer part of the team, stating that the Ukrainian player would only be missing the event.

Funn1k will be joining Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev in Team Spirit, rounding out their new roster. Illidan was announced to be trying out for the team on March 9th. The two veteran players will be replacing Roman “Ramzes” Kushnarev in the roster, who was recently removed at the same time as Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin – immediately following their performance at The Shanghai Major.

Team Spirit will be competing in the European Qualifier for EPICENTER: Moscow, as well as the fifth iteration of DreamLeague.
