The EPICENTER Moscow open qualifiers for the EU/CIS region are coming to a close tonight. With over 800 teams joining the battle, only eight remain in the last day. Quarterfinals will commence tonight at 18:00 CET and matches will continue until only two teams are left standing. The final two teams will advance to the regional qualifiers set to be held starting on March 14th.

The EPICENTER Moscow open qualifiers for the EU/CIS region are almost over. Over 800 teams joined to compete for one of the two spots available in the regional qualifier phase of the new LAN tournament in Moscow featuring a $500,000 prize pool. The event will be held at the Crocus City Hall, in Moscow, between May 9th-15.
Only eight teams remain and among them are some notable mixes and lineups.

The matches resume tonight at 18:00 CET with the best-of-three quarterfinals. Immediately following will be the semifinals which will give way to the two teams that advance to the regional qualifiers. Regional qualifiers are set to begin on March 14th.

EPICENTER Moscow
EPICENTER Moscow is a new LAN tournament organized by Epic Esports Events (formerly Dreamz Media), featuring a $500,000 prize pool and eight of the top Dota 2 teams worldwide. The event will be held between May 9th-15th at Crocus City Hall, Moscow. Six invited teams – Team Secret, Team Liquid, OG, Evil Geniuses, Virtus.Pro and Alliance will be joined by two qualified teams.
Tickets will be available in early April.

– TBD (winner of open qualifier)
– TBD (runner-up of open qualifier)
Even if both qualify, the fact that there’s a best-of-one between them, will make them get a different position (1st and 2nd).
I also want DiG to go as far as possible in the tournament for syndereN and Zai’s sake.

(2 comments)Since 2 teams advance, they don’t necessarily need to play each other. While the brackets and format show a bo1 final, it is highly possible that it is a formatting requirement and won’t actually be played. We’ll find out tonight for sure when it’s all said and done!
