Dota 2 Stars Arena is getting ready to kick off next week, February 29th, with the closed qualifiers. Four teams – Samurai Champloo, Team Averia, Burden United and PRIES – have been directly invited to compete in these qualifiers. The teams will be battling it out for the one qualifier spot in the main event. Seven teams – T.RoX, COOKISS, Power Rangers, YeS, Ad Finem, ProDot and HellRaisers have been directly invited to the main event. The eight teams will compete for the $5,000 prize pool.
Dota 2 Stars Arena is a new minor online tournament that will feature eight teams competing for the $5,000 prize pool.
The event will begin with the closed qualifiers taking place between February 29th-March 1st.
The closed qualifiers will begin on February 29th at 17:00 CET between Samurai Champloo and Team Averia. It will be immediately followed by PRIES vs Burden United at 20:30CET. The finals will be held on March 1st at 18:00 CET. All matches are a best-of-three series with only one winner advancing to the main event.
The tournament is scheduled to take a break during the week of the the Shanghai Majors. It will resume with the main event, starting on March 7th and is expected to end on March 14th with the best-of-five grand finals.
