Evany “the_evany” Chang, current manager of OG and ex manager of Team Secret, has come forward and accused the Team Secret organization of failing to pay money from various tournament earnings that they owe to their former players.
According to the detailed timeline by Evany, the debts incurred began in October of 2014. The money owed is from various tournament winnings between the dates of October and December 2014.
Team Secret timeline
In October 2014 Team Secret placed 3rd/4th at ESL NY 2014 and 2nd place at SLTV Season 10. The team went on to take 3rd place at BTS Summit 2, 1st place at both XG Captain’s Draft 2.0 and DotaPit Season 2 in December. By the end of December 2014, Evany was replaced by Matthew “Cyborgmatt” Bailey as the manager.
Johan “BigDaddy” Sundstein was also replaced at the end of December and Tal “Fly” Aizik had been removed from the team earlier, following their participation in BTS Summit 2.
What followed after was one year of multiple requests for communication and coordination by Evany met by various delays on the part of Team Secret’s current management.
Allegedly, Cyborgmatt did not notify the Team Secret Director, Kemal Sadikoglu, of the situation until the end of December 2015 – approximately one year later. Once Team Secret executives were contacted, there were several exchanges between the involved parties regarding banking and personal details.
As of February 15th the money had not been transferred nor had the situation been reported as resolved.
According to Evany, all former players including Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg, Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi, Tal “Fly” Aizik and Johan “BigDaddy” Sundstein have been effected in this situation.
Dotablast contacted Kemal Sadikolgu to clarify the situation as well as obtain an estimate on timelines or resolution status. Sadikolgu has not responded as of yet.
Dotablast will continue follow the subject and updated it should we receive further information.
