Dota Pit Season 4 location and new dates revealed

Dota Pit Season 4 has announced the venue of their tournament´s LAN Finals. The event’s first LAN tournament will be held in Split, Croatia at the Spaldaium Arena March 19 and 20th.

The dust had barely settled from the battle of the Season 3 Grand Finals between Evil Geniuses and Cloud 9 July 12th, and Dota Pit had already made the official announcement that the next season will surpass previous seasons and feature LAN finals that will take place in Croatia, at the end of March.

Organizer Ivan Marusic, has confirmed that there is also a change in dates for the LAN finals, with the event now scheduled to take place March 19 and 20th, a little more than a week earlier than originally expected.

Dota Pit Season 4 has plans to be bigger and better than previous seasons, including hosting the LAN finals in Croatia at the Spaldaium Arena in Split, Croatia. The venue boasts a 10,000 seat capacity and was built in 2008 as a state of the art arena.

So far, there has been limited details released about the format and the teams, but Virtus.Pro has been confirmed to be one of the three teams to be invited directly to the LAN event, with Na’Vi, Alliance and Fnatic being confirmed as direct invites to the regional group stages prior.

Ivan did tell Dotablast that there will be more of an official announcement with more details to come sometime in the near future.

Evil Geniuses triumphed over Cloud 9, 3:0, in the grand finals of the Dota Pit Season 3 competition, taking the championship title and the first place prize of $125,224.

Season 2 took place between September-December 2014.

The base prize pool was $75,000. In addition, 25% of every purchase of the in-game bundle went to the prize pool.
As of November 24, 2014, the prize pool was $80,598.

Dota Pit Season 1

The first season of Dota Pit took place between March-May 2014. It was considered a minor tournament at the time and was the first tournament to be hosted by Dota Pit. The base prize pool of the first season was $3,000.
