Sébastien “7ckngmad” Debs, Ivan “MinD_ContRol” Ivanov, Niklas “Wagamama” Hogstom and Troels “SyndereN” Nielsen lead the FACEIT Pro League kicked off less than one week ago. The league also continues to develop and evolve as it progresses into becoming a benchmark for other regions soon to follow.
Current Standings
After more than 250 games played over the course of one week, Alliance’s Sébastien “7ckingMad” Debs and Basically Unknown’s Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov, are currently leading the FACEIT Pro League (FPL). Battle-scarred players Niklas “Wagamama” Hogstrom and Troels “SyndereN” Nielsen follow suit at 3rd and 4th place. Lesser known Elysium Gaming’s Seraphim “L0lik” Saveliev maintains 100% win rate, albeit having played only eight games thus far.
Qualifier system
Since the league was announced on April 14, there have already been some updates and changes. In addition to some of the newer features, such as being able to track team names, players, captains and being notified of when games go live, some bigger adjustments have been announced.
A mini-league will be added to the qualifiers system, in order to ensure fair competition and truly get the best players into the FACEIT Pro League, every month. The so-called mini-league played between May 1-10 (and each month thereafter) – acting as the last phase to clear, will give three players access to FPL. The league will be played on the same client and only as a solo-queue option. Invitations will be given to the top 50 players from the Master League and ten players from the Diamond League will be given.
Both FACEIT Master League and Diamond League are ending on April 30, so there are approximately ten more days to claim one of the 60 slots available for the FPL mini-league.
